THE G-MEN V.S. PERFECTION

After watching last nights game I was thoroughly impressed with Big Blue. Starting at the top with usually incompetent Eli Manning, Hes starting to show the world (myself included ) That hes a pretty damn good quarterback (at times). To be honest with you, Within the first hour to hour and a half after the game i was still saying that Eli wasn't great. but after thinking about it long and hard , he did throw some unbelievable passes, and he didn't screw up. He kept his composure in a usually hostile and very intimidating place to play.

The Wide receiving core as a whole was truly amazing. Plax pulling off a performance like that on a torn ligament. Now all his critics that say when it comes to a big game he shrinks should just
SHUT UP!!!!!

Toomers diving catch on the sidelines keeping his 2 feet in was one of the greatest catches your ever going to see in the playoffs.

The running Backs Were a huge impact as well. Jacobs Was extremely effective and when called upon Bradshaw had some very timely spurts.

Laurence Tynes......Where do I Begin? When He missed the first one I was Saying Wow this guy sucks. But when He missed the second (granted it was a bad snap) I fell on the floor laughing.(literally) I was screaming DOUG BRIAN(that name still sends shudders down my spine.)I kept on repeating the Giants have turned into the Jets. But I was ultimately Proven Wrong.(NOBODY SUCKS AS HARD AS THE JETS....UNFORTUNATELY)

When Tynes lined up for the 47 yarder to win it even Giants fans were saying the only way he makes it is if hell freezes over...apparently Lambeau was hell cause it was frozen over.

As a whole the offense under those frigid conditions were DYNAMIC

The defense continues to step it up. The run D was better than what even the giants probably expected it to be They kept Grant totally ineffective. If you have been watching the playoffs. That's an extremely tough task. Both Lines Offense a D, And the corner backs Really did a phenomenal job.

All I have to say is Job well done.

On to the Packers, If it weren't for that one really long catch and run by Donald "ALL Wheel"Driver The Pack didn't do Jack. Favre was extremely disappointing. He probably was expecting the victory Because of the whole lambeau aura thing. but Guess what Brett....YOU WERE THE GOAT LAST NIGHT.

Finally Its time to ask the million dollar Question.....Do the Giants have a prayer against the Perfect Pats?.....Unfortunately Giants fans the answer is NO!

If Tom Brady can get away with throwing 3 int's and Randy Moss only had 2 catches in the last 2 games and they still win!! this Team is to freaking good. As a Jets fan I hate them with a passion but there is no denying it This team is unbeatable. Barring any major injuries Pats win it again..it sucks but its true

P.S. Pitchers and Catchers report Really Really soon.
( But Not Soon enough.)

sam i couldnt agree with u more...very good points and i was thinking doug brien also...truly an instant classic..my perspective of the game is that favre had all day to throw the ball and his interceptions were just him under throwing the ball...his o-line did a great job but he just found ways to blow it...

ezy's super bowl party will be insane this year....

this year i might actually pay attention to the game...instead of just the commercials...and this years halftime show is tom petty so theres a good break there....

my question is how much of the 6 hour pregame show are you going to watch?

and who will throw the first media punch?

jack tawil told me that jacobs will prob say something...

Sam well said you pretty much summed it up. The giants all year even when they were on there 6 game winning streak looked ugly. and they all said as long as you win its all that matters which is true. They also said we have much better football in us that we havent played we just have to make it click.
So all of the anilysts and us fans said They can beat they teams they should beat and maybe make the playoffs but they are just not good enough to beat the big boys.

The truth is when they said they know they can play better they all meant it and put it together at the perfect time.

Trully UNBEILEVABLE and nobody can really predict it. They got this far so HEY YOU NEVER KNOW. i wouldnt count on it but then again HEY YOU NEVER KNOW.

NY DAILY NEWS

PEERLESS FORECASTER
The Giants aren't the only ones on fire. Our guy Gary Myers has been uncanny with his playoff picks, predicting all three of Big Blue's upsets. Take that into consideration when he says the Giants will win Super Bowl XLII, 31-28 (Point spreads in parenthesis):

Giants at Bucs (Bucs by 3)

Myers Prediction: Giants 24-10

Score: Giants 24-14

Giants at Cowboys ('Boys by 7)

Myers Prediction: Giants 28-24

Score: Giants 21-17

Giants at Packers (Pack by 7)

Myers Prediction: Giants 20-17

Score: Giants 23-20 (OT)

SUPERBOWL prediction: Giants 31, Patriots 28.

a couple of comments from willie randolph..

on Tom Glavine’s first appearance at Shea this coming season…

“(Laughing) Oh, boy. I don’t know, ask the Mets fans (laughing). Look, I’m sure with the way things ended he’ll get some adverse reaction…But, I think you have to respect the fact that the kid’s a Hall of Famer, he’s gonna be there, he handled himself great as a Met, and, you know, you can boo him a little bit, but not too much (laughing).”

…on Jimmy Rollins, and while he must hate to compete against him, does he respect him…

“He can play for me any day. I’d have to move him to second base, though, because Jose is at short, you know (laughing). I respect Jimmy Rollins because he had the guts to come out in spring training – and those are the kind of players I like, the ones that come out and say, ‘You know what, you guys may be the division champs, but we’re the team to beat.’ Now, you gotta back that up, but he did…We need to make him eat those words next year.”

he puts the nl mvp in his place lol...

BY THE WAY BOYS THE SUPER BOWL PARTY WILL BE AWESOME THIS YEAR AS THE OTHER YEARS EXCEPT THIS YEAR WE ARE HAVING HOME MADE FOOD BY MY WIFE SO YOU ARE ALL INVITED HOWEVER THE CATCH IS THERE WILL BE A SMALL COVER CHARGE BEING THAT FOR US MARRIED GUYS ITS NOT EASY TO DISH OUT THAT MUCH THESE DAYS SO IT MAY BE $20-$25 EACH GUY BUT IF YOUVE BEEN BY THE LAST PARTIES THEY WERENT A DISAPPOINTMENT AND THEY WERE ACTUALLY LOTS OF FUN AND A CHANCE FOR ALL THE BOYS TO BE TOGETHER. SO IT WILL BE BY EZRAS HOUSE IF YOU NEED THE ADDRESS CALL BUT IT IS IN BROOKLYN THIS YEAR SO YOU WILL HAVE TO TRAVEL BUT TRUAST ME IT WILL BE WORTH IT. WHEN IT GETS CLOSER WE WILL BE CALLING PEOPLE TO FIND OUT ABOUT HOW MANY ARE COMING SO WE COULD PREPARE ENOUGH SO DONT AVOID THE PHONE CALL IF YOU WANT THERE TO BE FOOD FOR YOU.

Regarding Max N. The paparazi is having a very hard time finding him. But rumor has it he became very friendly with ricky williams since he started smoking pot. I know rICKY WILLIAMS is on the show Pros versas JOES. So maybe we will find max n on the set of that show smoking pot in rickys trailor.

Ralph that is the wedding i need to go to. i wasnt thinking about the father of the bride when you said the name. Truth i need to go bec of the other side the father of the chatan is my good friend ( Jesse Shomer) He Happens to be a huge giant fan and isnt to happy the wedding is on super sunday.
The person who set the date was danny himself. He probably got a great deal on the hall. thats the only thing i could think of for him

RALPH said...

ACTUALLY FOR THE RECORD IT JUST WAS GOOD FOR HIS DAUGHTERS SCHEDULE THATS ALL NOT BEC OF CHEAPER OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. BUT STILL I THINK IF YOU REALLY WANT TO YOU COULD MAKE IT YOUR BUSINESS TO BE AT THE PARTY!

maxsutton said...

Ralph now that you are telling me he didnt get a deal on the hall. that a terrible job on danny. There are pills for that stuff. they could have made the wedding monday and everything and everybody would be fine and happy.
You arent supposed to do things that can take simcha away from your party making the wedding super bowl sunday is forsure losing people and turning the wedding into a burden instead of a fun night for others.
There are certain days you dont make weddings Tisha be av, yom Kipur, and super bowl sunday very simple.

SAM I AM said...

max n is still missing

maxsutton said...

If they didnt know were to get the pills from i am sure Max N would know were to go.

07 payrolls released

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3210779

The Yankees did finish first in something last year -- spending.

While their streak of AL East titles ended at nine, the Yankees wound up with a record payroll of $218.3 million.

The World Series champion Boston Red Sox were a distant second at $155.4 million, according to information received by clubs from the commissioner's office. The Los Angeles Dodgers were third at $125.6 million, followed by the New York Mets ($120.9 million), Chicago Cubs ($115.9 million), Seattle ($114.4 million), Los Angeles Angels ($111 million), Philadelphia ($101.8 million), San Francisco ($101.5 million) and the Chicago White Sox ($100.2 million).

In addition to the largest payroll, the Yankees have the highest revenue in the majors. New York took in $415 million last year, giving about $100 million of it away in the sport's revenue-sharing plan.
