STARBURY OUT, KNICKS WIN. COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT

Recently the NY Knicks have announced that Point Guard Stephon Marbury will be undergoing surgery and he will be sidelined indefinitely. Since "Starbury" has been out The knicks have rattled off 3 consecutive wins, which is a season high. Its funny how team after team will always be willing to give this High priced overrated, selfish ball hog a shot time and time again. Maybe the only reason the knicks picked him up was because the success rate of the teams that he leaves are at such a high margin. (Minnesota , NJ, Phoenix.Hopefully the knicks can join this group) Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel in knick land . Daily News is Reporting that This could be the end of Marbury's Knickerbocker career. ( I've been praying for news like this since the day they got him)

Side note: NY Post reported that The knicks have offered the NJ Nets Zack Randolf straight up for Vince Carter but the Nets turned them down.

'OH BROTHER

I would like to let it be known that I, SAMIAM am a huge Jets fan (unfortunately). Now that I got that out of the way I would like to give you my take on the Giants.

First I would like to congratulate the Giants on a clutch performance against one of the top 5 teams in the NFL. The Giants have been raising eyebrows ever since that Patriots game on the last week of the season. Before that game , they were the most inconsistent team i have ever seen. First you get one spectacular game then you get a clunker (even in wins they didn't look so good).

After yesterdays game, I don't want to hear it about Eli, If I hear one person tell me that Eli had anything to do with the Giants winning they are out of their minds. The sole reason they won was because the defense held a dynamic offense in the cowboys to 3 points in the second half. (Now that deserves to be talked about.)

People were talking how Eli Was better than Peyton yesterday which I think is totally incorrect. In Eli's case he was just good enough not to lose. Then the rest of his team stepped it up. In Peyton's case, He did everything he can do to help his team win but his team did not allow him to win. Between a couple of balls that were dropped and one huge interception that went threw the hands of the intended target there was just nothing He could do about it. Peyton was, is, and always will be light years ahead of Eli, And that's that.

But getting Back to the Matter at hand, The Giants are going to have there hands full next week. Because Brett Favre will get those calls and non calls that Romo was and wasn't getting. (they still give him rookie treatment) People tend to forget that the Packers Are an All around football team and Not a one dimension (offense only)kind of team. But after all said and done I personally think the Giants will prevail and come out victorious. But solely based on the fact that the defense keeps ridding the wave that they have created for themselves. But if Eli puts together another (just good enough type of performances) the Giants will lose. But he is due to have a breakout game now that he is out of his brothers Shadow for the time being.
