LEARNING FROM HIS MISTAKES

Last night The Skipper faced the same decision which ultimately got him fired in Florida.
When Joe let Josh Johnson come back after a rain delay which ended up landing Johnson on the DL and later getting Elbow surgery. You could have bet your bottom dollar that Joe wasn't going to let Philly Phranchise back into a game with a rain delay that lasted over 40 minutes.
Girardy has let that incident change the way he managed already twice in the early stages of the season. One that I have already pointed out is when IPK was the scheduled starter but because of the threat of rain Bruney started instead and last night as well.
Sometimes you must lose the battle in order to win the war. I give major props to Girardy for the decision he made.
The Yankees ended up taking 2 out of 3 and I am satisfied with that.
Joba proved to the world that he is human. Its like when Mo gives up a run , everybody says" is Mariano finished?". For all those that said that Joba is best suited for the pen because in his second inning of work he was hittable are just not smart. Joba is a starter and that's final.

Sam i agree with you that Joba belongs in the starting rotation but he who you of liked to blow the 1 to 0 lead in the 8th yesterday after wang pitches 7 perfect innings. Hawkins or farnsworth

I agree with Max on this one. Now that Bruney is in the shelf, who do you trust in the 8th to get Mariano the ball?? Farnsworth and Hawkins both suck. I don't trust Edwar Ramirez, Chris Britton, Billy Traber, or Ross Ohlendorf.

Joba is likely going to spend the entire year in the bullpen at least until they can acquire an 8th inning man or someone steps up.

Maybe next season.....

it is a very scary thing to even think about but bottom line is you need the kind of performance that we got from wang and (Joba as a starter ) to even be in that situation to win the game. especially in the playoffs

Sambo,
Leave Joba where he is. He would be exposed as a starter.
How about bring clemens and his girlfriend back

P.S. max u r not allowed to go to bklyn anymore. ask your father y

dave i didnt ask but i can imagine either revech or maymie or both. I feel your pain. i apoligize.
And that posada comment was great.it just shows why cashman is the GM that all yankee fans want to hang.

PS. i must admit i hated the ryan church trade but it doesnt look to bad right now.
And another one i must admit i thought and still think that Melky isnt that good but he keeps prooving me wrong (5 hr)

Max,
It was AAron (CD) shemtob and we got maybe 8:40. who is revech?
Mets took 2 outta 3 from braves not bad. At least delgado hit

max sutton said...

revach is rabbi nahums fatherinlaw. I forgot about shemtov. i am very sorry. that is direct torture. he really does take forever

max sutton said...

oh i almost forgot about the mets that was very good taking 2 out of 3. but i dont trust delgado till he shows atleast a little consistency. Mark careon hit 2 hr in a game once too. but it did put a smile on my face to see them beat a team 2 out of 3 that isnt called the nationals.

Max,
Remember Victor Diaz hit 2 homers is a game once also and we all compared him to manny ramirez

I think victor diaz is working in the white castle across the street from the monmouth mall. If delgado doesnt start hitting he should be there with him soon.

Cant turn it to a met blog sammy wouldnt do it if you had a gun to his head and none of us can put together something like this. ( maybe Dougie? )
