THROWING IN THE TOWEL

We are approaching the end of August. Usually this time of year , you basically have an idea of what your ball club is all about.
After watching this disgraceful offense day in and day out, I no longer believe The Yanx have what it takes to even contend For the title.
Throughout the season up until last week. I kept on saying to myself, " don't worry, the Yankees will start to hit". How could you blame me or anybody that said that. There is an all star at just about every position. But that's not the case. The Yankees as the Ghost has previously said "flat out suck" .
The comical part about it is that what has been a weakness in recent years is actually one of their strengths. The pitching staff, which has been decimated with injuries has actually been quite good. If only we could score some runs Damn it.

I know its foolish to throw in the towel with over a month of baseball to play, but I just don't feel we have what it takes.

Now that I officially wrote them off, watch them go on a ten game winning streak. Ill be glad to eat my words and admit I was wrong. But I honestly don't see that happening.

All I have to say is J-E-T-S - JETS JETS JETS

Were just a few weeks away from the Football season. I already could envision Favre hoisting the Lambardy.......(I can dream cant I ?)

The Ghost of SAM I AM said...

Today is a sad day in Yankee baseball especially after last nights loss. It seems the Yankees are trying their hardest to be like their cross-town rivals and doing all in their power to find different ways to loose ball games. I type this comment with tears coming down my face.

Looking forward to Favre-Cotchery connection and this year's hot stove...

i'm watchin the yanks winning 2-0 in the 3rd inning tonight and even though they're winning, they look so lethargic its rediculous. Arod and Giambi specifically look as if they are just going through the motions, fouling off pitches right down the middle that they usually crush. I think the rest of the team is catching that bug too.
