If Johan go's to Beantown....

Reports are stating that the Johan talks have died down in a hurry after the Yankees refused to include Kennedy in the Hughes package.Steinbrener seems a bit fed up with the twins for being so unreasonable.

The Red Sox are now the front runners to land the lefty ace because they are suddenly willing to part with ellesbury. As a Yankee fan all I have to say is that if Johan gos to the red sox then MLB should just hand the Red Sox their 2008 along with their 2007 rings and spare us all from watching the season.

Yankee fans that are reluctant to give up on our young studs , your right but you have to realize that if Johan is playing for the enemy then we are royally screwed.

sam, the way I see it is, If we get Johan, the Sox will get bedard, sheets, or haren anyway...
the difficulty of beating the red sox is gonna be really had anyway, so keep kennedy and give up less for sheets or haren....
don't get me wrong, santana is the best in the game, but to save a big prospect like kennedy or horn i'd take sheets

ideally i'd want bedard but they won't trade within the division....

basically what i'm saying is i'd rather pay 20 grand for a BMW than 40 grand for a porshce

I think the yanks are currently looking to make a similar johan deal for dan haren because he is already under contract for the next three years at a good price. the sox aren't going to sign santana. once melky is gone through a trade, then we won't have anyone in the outfield to catch and throw.

mike im sure part of the deal will be a signed contract between the sox and santana....also included in the deal will be the 2008 world series tropht and rings...making it back to back for the bosox

at first i hated the clippard deal, until i watched replays of albaladejo pitching last year in september. He throws a good 91 MPH two seamer that tails away from lefties as his out pitch to lefties.
his outpitch to righties is a nasty biting slider that he keeps down.
It is truly nasty, and it reminds me of joba's slider, just not as hard and with a little less drop.
Heis curve looks like his slider buts it's slower.
His four seamer reaches 93 MPH, annd he won't throw it twice in the same at bat.

he also has great control, and besides for his four-seamer, all his pitches are down.

This kid could replace vizcaino this year. He's a big guy, with a weird arm slot- he raises his arm way back over his head and fires darts.

I encourage all yankee fans to watch some clips of this kid.
Just not at 1:30 A.M cause it hurts to watch the Nats when i could be in bed.

Sam i hope you enjoy this scouting report cause your'e probably the only loser reading it.

that cabrera willis trade is crazy.
now dontrall is the 3rd starter in that rotation. If Schefield stays healthy that offense is amazing and if he is hurt it still will be great.
By the way max n are you ready to date seriously yet or are you still partying. i heard you got mono from my belly dancer friend and you are sleeping all day.
But up at night on the blog or clubbing

SAM I AM said...

IT IS PAINFUL TO BE A NEW YORK FAN NOW. I think mlb are colluding against new york.
the tigers get a hall of famer and a great pitcher for two top prospects, and the yanks cant get santana who has one year left on his contract.
Instead the twins are taking Jon lester and coco crisp?
add in Omar getting ripped off by bowden, and baltimore and oakland saying they wont even listen to the mets offer- something is very wrong here

by the way i heard yesterday that the royals recieve $45 million in revenue shairing! Their payroll was $30 million!
That whole point of revenue shairing was to help the smaller-market teams compete, instead of a hard salary cap.

But the money the yankees give to the royals shouldnt go in their pockets!

i think all of the revenue shairing money should be placed in a MLB account, and they can take out of the account to pay players and coaches. If they don't use the money, isn't it only fair that the $ should go back to the large market teams?!
