Recently the Yankees have stated in a press release that if the twins accept the trade which includes Melky that they would move Damon back to center field.
Are they crazy??
Damon is finished.
They must package Damon for a decent reliever. Then acquire a bonofied center fielder(Anybody better than Ryan Church....hahaha mets fans you should know I'm still laughing at Minaya's practical joke that he played on the organization.. he probably lost a bet or something.)

P.S. I would like to thank all of you for reaching over the century mark on my last blog. (mainly Abie)

getting anything for damon would be a miracle...maybe if u package him with igawa and dont ask for any money in return (for the posting fee for igawa) and u can get something back....
as for an outfielder i would love to see the mets go get andruw jones for a year..although it seems unlikely that he would play right field for 1 year when he could sign somewhere else and play center...and make more money the following year...i still have confidence in omar that he will pull off a deal for haren....and the mets rotation will be haren oliver maine pedro el duque/pelfrey...sounds pretty good to me.. and the lineup is good for the nl in reyes castillo wright beltran alou delgado castro and church...anytime delgado is ur #6 hitter, ur lineup has to be good....who will get more wins the yanks or mets...and remember which league u play in b4 u answer the question
didn't we say last year that the mets would get more wins than the yanks?? Under the same circumstances as next season, I'd say we will have a similar result.
If this were a video game, the yanks would trade melky/damon in a trade for johan, sign him to a long term deal, and sign aaron rowand for three years $24 mill.
johan, wang, jaba, kennedy, mussina
option 1: Damon, jeter, abreu, arod, posada, matsui, cano, rowand, 1st base.
option 2: Jeter, abreu, arod, posada, matsui, cano, rowand, melky, 1st base.
btw..the redsox are now willing to deal either elsbury or lester...the yankees said they want an answer by tuesday..i think if they offer hughes kennedy and melky then its a done deal...maybe wont have to give up melky..but if its a deal breaker do it...ps u need johan more then they do....
no one is realizing that trading melky is gonna have on cano aka his bend over buddy. but besides that. i much rather have dan haren who has 3 years left on an already cheap contract than johan right now bc thats a huge salary and amount of years for any pitcher...as for damon. unless we can trade him (he has a partial no trade) you have no choice but to put him in center bc come on dude how much can we spend this winter? im getting sick from all the money being throw around
mo mizzle are you a steinbrener or maybe you are in georges will or something. Who cares how much money they spend. if they are willing to pay it big deal. If you think about it
Abie said that MLB is making the small market teams spend on the free agents bec of money they get from the luxury tax. So the yankees spending big makes them lose out on CORDERO AND LINEBRINK.
by the way its good to see you wrote abie bec i really thought you would jump after that really terrible omar move
