Girardi the next yankee skipper

Finally some good news in yankees camp.Reports are stating that the yanx have offered girardi the job,Details werent stated.

I love this move and everything about it. This ensures Mariano and posada (I think).
posadas former mentor and mo's former battery mate.

Tony pena said that he would gladly take on a bench coach gig which is also a positive thing.
I hope bowa follows in his direction.as for Kevin Long It makes no difference to me.

good signing only becuz noone else is out there but i'm still skeptical to see if this is just a temporary manging skit like he had in florida becuz if they dont make th eplayoffs next year george might get up from his grave and yell for torre to return...so dont go crazy over girardi...and is the yanks have a terrible start this year like they did last year (wow 2007 is last year already)do u think that girardi can get them out of it..

the yanx have to perform on the field.the only role the manager plays is handeling the media and keeping a positive clubhouse. We already know he has a good baseball mind. he has all the qualities and is a good guy. lets see how it all plays out from here.

Very good signing. Abie if they fell in a hole like they did last year even Torre wouldnt get them out. Thats bec they dont have Arod.
Overall he has all the right qualities and he will be a very good manager. What is Mattingly doing next year?

Unknown said...

definitely moose. and farnsworth. Then again, they shouldn't be on next year's team in the first place. In 97 Posada took his job- that'll be wierd

I really think Girardi is going to be a great fit in NY. He was def. the best candidate for the job, and hopefully Pena will stay on as the bench coach. Let's hope Kevin Long sticks around too.

oh, and nice pic of you and Giambi, he certainly is a nice guy. I had a chance to chat with him a while back when he was rehabbing in Scranton, and he was quite a genuine person.

SAM I AM said...

Kellen??

Unknown said...

guys- breaking news- Renteria traded to the tigers.

abie said...

yes kellen clemens is starting this week!!!

Unknown said...

the tigers now have carlos guillen, polanco, renteria, and inge. magglio, granderson, sheffield, maybin , pudge. Not bad.
that might evev be better than the yankees' lineup as of today

I like eiland...I don't like Rolen...I agree we have too many outfielders...if damon goes, who leads off (do u think melky is ready?, Cano swings at too many pitches, should jeter just lead off?
