The Importance Of MO

The yankees cannot afford to lose probably their most powerfull weapon over the last 10 years. Bottom line is that without Mo who knows where the franchise would be .(probably still with only 22 titles) Im going to make this post short and sweet. If Mo wants the world you give it to him, Whatever it takes.

MO HAS TO STAY BUT NOW WITH JOBA PROBABLY MOVIN TO A STARTER WHO WOULD YOU HAVE AS A SETUP MAN?

Unknown said...

stupid cashman could have resigned him for half the price in spring training last year

SAM I AM said...

cordero is a free agent they must make a push for him hes the best possible guy thats available for the job

Unknown said...

resign vizcaino and sign fransico cordero four years $40 million.

HUMBERTO SANCHEZ throws 98 miles an hour

SAM I AM said...

so does farnseworthless speed meens nothimg its movement that counts.
These guys are potential differance makers for 08 Olendorf,Veras,Britton, and like max said Sanchez

hey max what about getting liriano and leaving joba to become the next mo since he showed that in pitching more then an inning his stuff tends to be hitable...

Unknown said...

you couldnt get liriano even you gave them the whole team

By the way I want to officialy put my vote for our next backup catcher. I want Mike Piazza. I don't think he's done yet, and He can DH and maybe take first a little. If nothing else he's a good power bat off the bench ( yes I'd rather have him up in the ninth than Shelly-Spencer-Duncan.

ABbie and Max S.- you should think about piazza for one year if you can't sign castro. I know it souds crazy but i'd rather him than lo-duca. Plus, Piazza's always been underrated defensively. Yes, he can spit further than he throws, but anyone who has watched him knows he's great blocking the plate. and he blocks balls in the dirt good enough.

SAM I AM said...

L like the piazza move its cheap and effective

Unknown said...

I think $3.5 million might do it.
The only problem is that He'll problably get a $3 mill offer from an Al team to dh, but he'll probably get incentives- I could easily see incentives for preformance up to $7-8 mill, total. The yanks don't have that to offer cause he knows he'll backup only.

if the yanks do sign mo then cordero isnt a possibility becuz he will want to be a closer....

also piazza coming back to the mets would be interesting but i dont think hes on omar's radar right now...

David wright was on the jon stewart show and he said that he is open to moving to another position for a-rod and espn reported this morning that omar will contact him about the arod situation...i know its a little late but trick or treat yankee fans....

and once we make the playoff with arod at least we can put wright back at 3rd and slide easley back to 2nd...and arod can watch from the bench lol

and dont say that arod is good riddens bucuz as max showed yesterday the yankee lineup right now in the al is not very good...they need a proven bat ( and i dont think andruw is the answer)

abie said...

at waswatching.com he writes

Alex Rodriguez is history with the Yankees and when I asked Hank Steinbrenner yesterday if there were any regrets, he answered quickly and honestly. “No," he said. “[Scott] Boras makes it easy not to have any."

HAHAH I LOVE IT GOOD LUCK SIGNING ANY OF HIS CLIENTS WITH THAT COMMENT....

I'm not so sure about this Hank Steinbrenner...He reminds me of the Orioles owner. I need to find out more about this guy, he rubs me the wrong way.

I'm glad you like the Piazza idea I think he's a better option than any free agent except Ramon Castro...
I still think the mets should make a Heilman for John Buck swap, or even Duanar Sancez for Kenji Jhojima.
could you get YAdier Molina for the guy that gave up the homer to him?

The Mets catcher situation must be adressed for the long term. Even in next year's sick free agent class the only decent catchers are Pudge, Estrada, and and Varitek.

SAM I AM said...

Hank and hal are pimps

Hi guys
Sammy you are right they have to pick up mo no matter what.
Max nesser that Piazza move to the Mets is not a terrible idea. Finishing his career as a met is something if they offer him he should take. It would make him look better when he retires to finish with the team he was with the longest. But i dont see Omar making a push for him.First they should try on posada.
last thing watching the boomer eisiason ( i know i spelled his last name wrong) last night john flaghraty ( his too)was giving a whole speach on why he thinks keeping Jaba in the set up role is the right thing to do. Basically he said he would impact more games this way. I am hoping the mets can have Elduqe turn into that guy.
Max nesser its so much more fun when we can all comment on your love life, please give us something. Any way how is your wrist?

espn did a story on where the final out of the 07 world series is....
nobody knows

the story goes papelbon threw astrike out varitek put the ball in his back pocket and after the celebration gave it to papelbon and now he says he has no clue where he put it....
a mientkiewicz repeat ...lets see

oh and curt schilling on his daily blog 38pitches.com had this to say today..
Hard to believe that after 21 years in professional baseball, the first day of free agency would come when I was 40 years old. I’ve not been a free agent for one day of my career before today.

David wright said he would move positions for Arod but would he move for migeol cabrera?

babyj said...

enough already with rivera.
move on man!!
joba is the closer on 2008 until 2016.
put that in your pipe and smoke it!

abie said...

cabrera would play left field

maxsutton said...

i dont know about not signing rivera over the next 3 years even though he is slipping a little he is still the best closer in baseball. i do agree that jaba should stay in the set up roll then be groomed into the next closer after Mariano is done physically or contractrally which ever comes first.
And Abie i dont think cabrera would go to left field.

SAM I AM said...

Max he played left for 3 seasons on the marlins 03-05

abie said...

cabrera would play left field if the yankees gave him 6 yrs 125+ million

ok
