Crede In Pinstripes??

Buster onley is reporting that the yankees and the white sox are in serious conversations about a trade that has Damon going to chi-town for Joe crede who would man 3rd base for the yanx.
Crede is coming off back surgery and we all know hes no arod. But he is a wizard in the field and he has 30 hr potential.(btw if you check one of my old posts i mentioned crede's name before anybody so ha.)Im not thrilled about this trade but He already won a title for the white sox so he has experience and he fits the joe girardi bill.Hes a gritty S.O.B which makes him an instant fan favorite.(whoever would be replacing arod would be a fan fav)They could find a better guy than crede but then again they could find a guy allot worse. But if there is any possible way to get Miguel cabrera you got to go for it because he is a long term option and crede is just a stopgap.

I am strongly against Crede. He is one of the most overrated players in baseball. These are his OBP for his career:
.311
.308
.299
.303
.323
.258 last year.
Need I say much more?
If they'll take damon;s salary fine, otherwise I'd rather have Betimit.

I love joe crede and I think after lowell and cabrerra (which I don't even think is an option) he's the best out there. Now unless boston gets arod lowell will be back there but crede is a good player. As for max I see where ur coming from on the obs but this is bringing a guy like brosious back remeber he didn't hit 300 either. He's a good option and I would deffinently do it for damon who I think is overrated anyway. Go yanx

news today was the malins are openly announcing that Cabrera is on the market. If george was still incharge aside for the fact they probably would still have arod. With the position they are in now he would get cabrera from the marlins.
With the new guys now all the fans arent sure whats going to happen which makes this time of year more interesting for yankee fans.
i am not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing for fans.

Any way what in the world is with these new user names. Either you guys really hate susan or you secretly have the hots for her and this is a very funny way of expressing it. Personaly i cant stand her in the booth with sterling her voice gives me a headache and i dont enjoy her comments at all. Being the most famous franchise in sports you would think they can get a great sidekick to be next to sterling.
I dont like sterling, he makes to many mistakes but i do understand why alot of the fans love him. So keep him and get a good color man. Now that they saved money by not paying Arod they should go steal a good announcer. ( i think the reason is John Sterling must be a real pain to work with so they just leave susan bec she is just happy to be there. i bet she doesnt even get paid. A pair of Jeters dirty underware and she is Happy.
And according to our latest blogger she can wear them.

i can see miguel cabrera in an angel uniform before the year is over.....

makes sense they need protection for vlad and vice versa

So according to Crede's stats produced by Max, Crede is not a prototypical Yankee, philosophically.
So what good is he then?

by the way, i love the new flaming title of the blog!!

And Miguel Cabrera? He has been gaining 10lbs per month for the last 2 years. Is that the kind of work ethic you want in your star third baseman?
I agree that he is one of the better hitters in baseball, but his defense and work ethic are subject to question. How long can he keep himself in playing shape before his weight becomes a problem. He'll look like David WElls playing third base.
Would you really sacrifice major pitching such as Phil Hughes, or Ian Kennedy to get this guy?

cabrera is only 24 years old! Give this kid a chance to grow up! He is right now in the top 5-10 right handed hitters on this planet. Please explain to me why you don't want this premeire-mega-talent on your team?!

i believe that like willis, cabrera doesnt think he needs to stay in shape down in florida where they're partying every night....

once one of these guys gets traded or signs somewhere else it will be a real wake up call..and they will be forced to get into shape....

right bow there is noone in florida not even the team itself that has control over them...

in other words they are bigger then the franchise...

as a mets fan i can see arod at shea next year....i see a contract of 8 yrs 240 million with and vesting option for a 4 yr 110 mill contract after that..the contract would vest on AB RBI'S and homers for the past 2 seasons of the contract

this contract works for both sides

Love the website. I agree with Max. Crede is awful, and HURT by the way too. When I logged onto this website and saw the picture with Crede in a yankees uniform I had a strong impulse to throw my laptop to the ground in hopes of shattering it - my wife needed to intervene. That Johan photo was sexy though. As far as third base is concerned the Yankees must and I mean MUST get Miguel Cabrera. A package of mediocre Melky, Ross Olendorf and Jose Tabata should be enough to get it done. If Phil hughes is a must to the Marlins in a cabrera deal I would pull the trigger. While Hughes has huge potential it's still just that - potential. The likelihood of Hughes becoming a player of the caliber of Cabrera is about 10%. The only guy I'd say is untouchable in a Cabrera deal is Joba, and only because you should have enough to get a deal done without him - not because a Joba for Cabrera deal wouldn't be a good one for the yanks. You can bet the Red Sox will be ALL OVER cabrera. With all their young talent they have more than enough to get a deal done. You think Theo the Great would hesitate to give Youkilis, Ellsbury and Bucholz for Miguel? Not to say that he would have to, but such a deal wouldn't suprise me.
To the Yankees and Brain the Klutz Cashman: You let Theo and the Red Sox beat you to the punch on Ortiz and more recently Schilling and Josh Becket. DON'T LET THE SAME HAPPEN WITH THIS GREAT PLAYER!!! Let me make this prediction.... The team that ends up with Miguel Cabrera will prosper and the team that ends up with Mike Lowell will regret signing him eventually.

avi that is one of the most on-the-money blogs i've seen yet.
But I disagree with you in that both offers you mentioned (the yanks and sox) are not enough. I can see the tigers offering granderson, bonderman and zumaya- maybe even more.
